The spring meeting of ISO/TC131 was held in Tokyo, Japan, from May 13 to 16, 2024. More than 40 international standardization experts from China, the United States, Germany, the United Kingdom, France, Italy, Japan and other countries participated in the discussion of related topics.
Researcher Luo Jing, Secretary General of the National Hydraulic and Pneumatic Standardization Technical Committee, served as the head of the delegation, and Professor Xu Bing, chairman of the Committee on International Standardization and the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University, served as the team leader, with a total of 10 international standardization experts participating.
Before the meeting, the Chinese delegation made active preparations. During the meeting, extensively communicated with participating experts, and expressed China’s opinions on various issues in a timely manner. It was recognized by the main member countries of ISO/TC131 and achieved good results.
ISO/TC131/SC4(Pipeline Connectors Subcommittee) and SC5(Control Elements Subcommittee) decided that Chinese experts would be the project leaders to lead the revision of ISO 8434-1, Metallic tube connections for fluid power and general use—Part 1: 24° cone connectors(Project leader Yu Jijian, responsible units Danfoss Power Systems (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Zhejiang Songqiao Pneumatic Hydraulic Co., Ltd. ), ISO, Hydraulic fluid power—Identification of valve ports, subplates, control devices and solenoids(Project leader Wang Chengxiang, responsible units Xingyu Electron (Ningbo) Co., Ltd., Ningbo Product and Food Quality Inspection Institute).
Including these two international standard projects, China has taken the lead in completing or is in the process of completing more than 10 international standards under ISO/TC131. China’s participation in development of international standard-setting has been further strengthened, which not only promotes the seamless integration of Chinese hydraulic and pneumatic standards with international standards, but also provides a valuable window for promoting global technological exchanges and enhancing the international influence of Chinese standards.
