What is a Limit Switch Box?

These units serve as critical safety and control components by automatically stopping or reversing machinery when it reaches a predetermined point, preventing overtravel and potential damage.
Primary Function: Limit switch boxes provide a robust interface between mechanical movement and electrical control systems. Working Principle: When a machine part makes contact with the actuator arm of the limit switch, it triggers an internal mechanism that changes the electrical state of the contacts (from normally open to closed or vice versa).
